everyone seems to be talking about the replacement of cheney

Who on the Republican side, with the exception of Al D'Amato, is talking about replacing Cheney?

So what would be wrong with bush announcing a cabinet reshuffle that makes use of some or all of these three guys.

It's a sign of weakness, Mike. You just don't do it. The oppo would be all over you if you did. Think back to how the media and the Dems have reacted to the small changes that Bush has made, such as Treasury and economic advisors. Look at the problems Clarke's leaving has caused.

The wholesale shuffle will happen after the election. That's normal and expected.
