The Florida Supreme Court was not breaking any law. They were doing their duty under the US and Florida constitutions. The US Supreme Court overstepped their bounds, because they perceived a pragmatic crisis, not a legal crisis.

You can argue if that was right or wrong, you can argue the states rights issues wrt the US constitution. And you can find legal scholars on both sides.

But one thing you can't say is "Bush was duly elected". That's crap.
