It's pretty obvious that we can do a better job protecting the health of our citizens, and we can do it more efficiently as a nation, rather than split up into various healthcare delivery systems. This is OBVIOUS?????????? In the case of roads, military and even healthcare, the old saying of united we stand, divided we fall applies. So you think sloganeering is the solution? Want to see what the result looks like? Your looking at it. It's called "Windows" from Microsoft- -buggy, idiosyncratic, and just barely good enough to get you to use it rather than do without because you have no choice. That's what it lloks like. When was the last time you heard anyone sing the praises of Medicare? Curse it, more likely. Except, of course, in such a system, if you are politico, you will do just fine. Some poor slob working for a private employer, you'll take what we give you and like it. Where we can benefit from mutual activity as a nation, the government serves it's people when it provides such a united forum. Too bad the Soviet Union is dead. I think you would have like it there. They had govenment health care. A proper health care system that encourages preventative medicine, will also save money in the long run. Nuts. So your story is you get sick because you have private coverage? Or even none at all? When we can do something together more efficiently, then that is in effect a government that governs least. What a marvelous piece of BS. You really should go into politics. Who ends up paying for catastrophic illnesses now when the patient is uninsured? Well that would be you and me...and that is a government that spends more for less.
