<<Leaving it up to states is a problem (as you well know) because people move from state to state sometimes. You knew that didn't you? To expose your fake "argument", if one state says it is illegal for gays to marry, is a couple that married in a different state married when they move?>>

You never cease to amaze.

Bush and Cheney have said it should be a state issue, Lynn Cheney still says it should be a state issue as do many Republican senators and congressmen, so they're all making fake arguments, right?

The move backfired because they never even got to a vote on the amendment it failed on a procedural vote exposing the split in the Republican party.

And, since you obviously don't know, Clinton signed the Defense of Marriage Act which says no state has to to recognize a same-sex marriage from another state.

Another thing you have wrong: though most oppose gay marriage, we're split 50-50 on if there should be a Constitutional Amendment defining marriage.

[But he's not willing to leave it up to the States to decide (as they always have), is he?]

"So what?"

So much for State's Rights, and so much for a smaller, less intrusive Federal government.

Reagan must be spinning in his grave.
