LOL. More BS. The "shortages" were largely faked by the Bushie Texas energy thieves, the proof being the Enron transcripts and that the day after Jeffords switched parties and gave DEms subpoena powers there was a sudden energy glut. Of course conservation helped a great deal as well and always helped. Your average consumer can cut energy use 25% and not feel it at all. We waste huge amounts of energy in this country, and they we send our boys to die for it in the Middle East.

How much solar power was added in MW since the Rebate program was started in California? Do have the actual figure?

Do you know how much the peak load dropped during the crisis from voluntary conservation?

Do you know the potential energy savings from the use of renewable sources; solar, wind, geothermal, small hydro and others?

Instead of adding power plants, we should first take a strong look at renewables and conservation. I don't want my daughters to fight in a war for oil. Hey, me and Bush do have something in common after all.
