That's how states rights is suppossed to work.
WRONG! The way the federal gov't is forced to conform to the people's or state's wills if it will not do so voluntarily is by constitutional amendment.

As for conservative, this issue was decided in the 1830's. How conservative can you get?

As for medical marijuan, I favor it. But the issue originally raised was the right of the federal gov't to prohibit it. It has done so and the USSC has upheld the law allowing it to. This issue at theis point is federal supremacy. As I said before, this is a nation, not a confederation. States do not get to pass and execute laws that contravene valid federal laws.
