Chinu,

I think that you are confusing the one-page memo with a ninety page report that was considerably more comprehensive. The Senators all had access to the report. It is the ninety page report that Kerry did not read. The memo was merely a summary document that was prepared by the CIA for the president. I suspect that Kerry was committed to doing the politically expedient thing and voting for the war regardless of what he did read or did not read.

Arab American comedians joke about terrorism, racial profiling and the war in Iraq, reflecting a shift in support for President Bush among Arab Americans.

Those Americans (and others who imagine themselves to be Americans) who wonder why the Moslems have not come forward to denounce the Moslem extremists and declare their support for Bush will do well to see the video clip at

washingtonpost.com

Arab Americans are now inclined towards voting for Nader.
If I heard it right, this represents a shift of at least 130,000 votes away from Bush. (Peanuts and insignificant you might say, eh? But in a tight race this can make be a crucial difference.)

Many of them don't like Kerry because they consider his Middle East policy to be no different than that of Bush which makes for no fairness to the Arabs. I suspect they don't trust Kerry for another reason which they are not saying.

Kerry and other Senators had the 90 page intelligence report which had everything the 1 page summary did plus much more. Of course, Kerry didn't read the report before voting. His vote was pure politics.

Which makes him sound both hypocritical and foolish when he "demanded to know ...whether President Bush read a key Iraq intelligence assessment" that Kerry had available and didn't bother to read himself.
