Michael: Chicago, NYC, LA, SF, Seattle, Boston, Washington DC,

These are the chief centers of Democratic voting strength and will remain so. These cities are the determinants of RED states for Kerry. It is unlikely that Repubs in the suburbs and small towns can overcome the highly charged and super Bush hating Democrats who dominate these cities.

Bush and Company know that. The Republican strategists are therefore playing to their strengths. It is small town America, the Heartland, the Bible Belt, the Peorias of the USA who constitute the Bush strength.

That is why he can ignore the NAACP and their Bush-hating leadership without fear of voter reprisal. In fact, Bush will win more votes by refusing to cater to those designated Democratic decriers who exploit the NAACP for their own personal and political advantage. And Kerry will speak to them in a few minutes. He will sop up all of that crap and then add some of his own.

But Bush did the right thing by saying to them: "Thanks, but no thanks" he said. "You have already expressed your public opinion about me. You have described my administration as the Taliban of American Politics and charged that we fly both the American flag and the Confederate Flag over the capital. I will not honor you with my presence."
