I didn't say that the US should have sent exactly 140,000 troops to Afghanistan. It is clear that the country is in a mess and the US should have done whatever was needed to (a) capture Osama and his gang and (b) help Afghanistan rebuild itself.

Heck, it could need 140K troops or even more than 140K troops! Probably an expert like Gen. Shinseki would be able to say how many troops are needed. But then he was booted out for being so accurate (as it turned out) about how many troops were needed in Iraq.
