It sounds wonderful! Enjoy, enjoy. I am sure the menus will be fantastic on the flight though, so hope you didn't eat too much before you even started. You must learn to pace yourself on these junkets, my dear- Scotch in the limo is very risky behavior!
It took me a couple of flights over to learn that those efficient attendants just keep filling your wine glass until you tell them to stop-- which goes against all my instincts, and led to some nasty jetlags. Now I eschew alcohol for tons of water. This has the added benefit of forcing me to get up and take many healthy walks to the loo, this working off the non-stop food. I forgot to tell you this and now you will arrive hungover, five pounds heavier and dehydrated. Oh well, everyone should do so at least once.

You know, a lot of our friends have done their expat assignments in London and Paris, but no one in Scotland, so I am really eager to hear about everything. But really, do try to throw in some miserable stuff, too, so that we left here in our hohum lives won't fill completely green.

OUR big trip this month is to Marietta, Ga. I know everyone here is breathless in anticipation of a report on that one.

The Heathrow club is indeed superb, it's bigger and the drink choice is better IMO. But I thought the food in SF was nicer when we were last there, my wife particularly liked the chocolate-dipped strawberries on the bar.

Did you sign for the in-flight massage? that's the really special part :)
