"Kerry was a vocal opponent of U.S. policy in Central America during the Reagan administration that included efforts to drive the Sandinistas from power."

And he was absolutely right, what we have done in Central and South America is terrible, any decent human being would be ashamed of it.

Reagan's war in Central America stunk. It was based on lies, trickery, illegal shenanigans and even involved trading arms to the Iranians of all people. In the process, reagan also left the DEA twisting in the wind and gave up the chance to nail the Medillin Cartel. Many of our "allies" were major druig traffickers. And the "communists" down there turned out to be no threat at all. Kerry was right to expose that bunch of creeps.

Stop lying.

Senator John Kerry of Massachusetts described Sandinista leader Daniel Ortega as without a doubt "Nicaragua's worst enemy".

American Spirit is right and you are wrong!
Looks like you are such a dyed-in-the-wool Republican supporter that it's just not possible to see that the Republicans have made horrible mistakes in Central America and South America.

Seems to me the CIA operatives at that time were an arrogant bunch of bastards who believed they could do no wrong.

(from richnorth mistakedly sent to me)

So now you're defending Iran-Contra?

Ann, quit lying. I thought you had children. Do you teach them that liars and cheaters win?
