Carter is a great man .......... .......... and one of the great myths of our time is that he was an incompetent president. It's too bad he didn't get to show his wonderful vision to making an appointment to the Supreme Court. Moronic "supply-siders" like Reagan and bush are the real incompetents. Don't tax (particularly the wealthy) and spend incredible amounts on the military. In fact, they should simply change the name of the Department of Defense to the Department of Offense. Idiots like Reagan and Bush looked around for fundamentalists to put on the Supreme Court. Didn't Reagan elevate that ass Rehnquist to the Chief Justice post? Didn't Reagan come up with jerk Scalia? What about Thomas? Thanks Bush. Lordy, lordy. What a bunch of neanderthals. God forbid bush gets to alter the complexion of the Supreme Court. /john
