I thought you really had some smart ideas to say...so I kept this for tonight. I'll make a few quick points at here: First, communist China has no right to ask democratic Taiwan to return to China. These are two very different societies. Furthermore, what is the time line by year 2020 based on? It clearly showed the lingering barbaric mentalities of these Chinese leaders. I can pull a year 2104 out from my ass. I think China and Taiwan should unify only after China had free elections and human rights. It is an insult to the free world that the bullies ask other countries to step aside and watch them to give Taiwan a lesson. Taiwan is not a pushover either. Can China win the battle with Taiwan and win the war with all of the free Chinese around the world? Guess not. China will not have a peaceful day in the world any longer, from the day it invades Taiwan. Is this simple enough for them to think about? I grew up in Taiwan and have been against independence most of my life. However, I have gradually changed my mind in the recent years after I saw the real face of Mainland China. The simple reason is that those dogs deeply believe big guns is the only way to get Taiwan back. Why? Because they haven't step out front doors frequent enough to learn civilization. Both sides of people run the same blood and speak the same language. Why the hell war is the only way to resolve it? Even Taiwan claimed independence, in less than one hundred years from now after one or two generations of those brain-washed Chinese die out from power, China has election, human rights, and understanding of world peace, China and Taiwan will become one again naturally. No question about it. This has been a very tough decision which many don't like and don't want to make. Who want to welcome communists to Taiwan? Did residents in Hong Kong welcome China? Hell no. They had no choice because the rest of the world won't help them. It is completely ridiculous to set a time table at 2020. Which I think it is the dumbest personal agenda of Jiang Zemin can think of. I wish Chinese leaders try very hard to look for peace. It is not that difficult. Until then, Chinese will be looked as uncivilized. Evil human genes within us always look for quick and violent means to resolve conflicts which reflect clearly from those Chinese leaders. I only wish them read more Chinese history books and learn a few constructive ways to resolve this issue. Enough blood has been shed in China for thousands years. When can it stop?
