Can China win the battle with Taiwan and win the war with all of the free Chinese around the world? Guess not.

Boy are you ever wrong.
Obviously you are speaking from the heart about hope because you clearly are not speaking with your mind

China will not have a peaceful day in the world any longer, from the day it invades Taiwan. Is this simple enough for them to think about?

China thinks long term. Short term consequences of 10 years or more will probably not matter 1 iota to them. Furthermore there is a window of opportunity here with the US totally 100% bogged down like idiots in Iraq.

Bear in mind I do not disagree with your ideals, I think from a practical standpoint you are HOPING and not speaking in likelihoods.

Mish

OT: Yeah and so it goes... taiwanfirstnations.org Maybe the Han in Taiwan should just go back where they came from ? It's not like they were ever invited.

It's more important to keep your eye on the ball then whine about a bad bounce... This too will all just be water under the bridge someday...
