Amy When you say there's some issues with GUI, how do you mean? Disconnects and system unavailability. Their rates probably do require a bit of activity to get the lowest price. Either that or a large balance.

Schwab has a greatly discounted commissions structure for bigger accounts. I was going to dump them, but they introduced the new structure, which had made things much more equitable compared to the alternatives. StreetSmartPro uses the same technology platform (as their "Cybertrader" service, which is marketed to daytrader types. It is a somewhat "slimmed down" version of the fullblown Cybertrader package, but is more than I need, as I'm definitely not a daytrader.

OT HOw many companies would you say have been funded recently by the majors? I just took a look at the Accel website and there wasn't a single new name on there that I noticed. A ton of companies are listed like Noosh that are pretty much walking dead from the 90s. the KPCB site has an option for "view companies by investment date". They have funded ONE company in Jan 04 (Quorum systems) and the last one was March 03. kpcb.com This industry is toast for the forseeable future it looks like to me.
