Yes, agree on the timing in August and also on the choice of cities.

NYC took the big blow-----they are likely better prepared than any city in the US to deal with terroism.

(Although the power of terrorism could make me eat my words on that one.)

Don't worry. After attacking Iraq, the US is a safer place.

Or not. Depends on who you believe -- Dumbya or Ridge.

I suppose if there is a major attack during our election conventions, we will all find out whether we control an offensive "defense industry" or a defensive one. I hope that like Spain, we will see the errors of our ways. Although, since Bush declared at his administrations infancy, "You are either with us, or against us," he has a few options on where to run.

In my lifetime, guys like G. W. Bush, have been considered bullies. From what I have noticed by my worldly travels, the rest of the world agrees. It is not safe to travel as an American today.

If I were to leave my passport behind today, and declare myself a Christian missionary, my American freedom will return.

How can I reconcile the differences?
