JF, I take it from your post that you think it is a time for our leaders to shoot from the hip without a lot of thought; that in depth analysis of consequences is not important. Well, you could put it that way. Another way of looking at it is by examining the difference between a legislator and an executive. The former is analytical and focused on details; the latter is concerned with taking action and getting results. There's a reason why senators historically have a tough time becoming president, and why former state governors have a better shot. Of course, JFK was one of the exceptions to that pattern, and "JFK" today wants to be another exception. Tenchusatsu
