Since your name is not Jorj may I call you Bob? You ask "Do you really believe that it is presidential policy that makes other cultures dislike us?" I believe America's policies can help or hinder what other cultures think about us. In this country our president has the bully pulpit. He and his TEAM have much power. That's my take. What is yours?

Islamic extremists have hated us for years and will continue to hate us. But Americans have been liked and respected in most of the World. After 9/11, many countries supported us. France offered troops for Afghanistan. Iran granted us overflight rights for SAR missions. Syria was providing us intelligence on al Qaeda. Those are just a few examples. Bush threw all that away. John Kerry will help America regain the respect of the World. The Islamic terrorists will still hate us. But isolating them (instead of providing them recruiting grounds) will help America defeat them.

"What makes you believe that John Kerry's policies will change the world view of Americans?" With Kerry as president, the country would have someone in leadership who has absolutely no experience except protesting against establishment and promoting bills through congress that would dismantle the power structures that have made the USA a superpower in the world. We saw what happened when the liberals battled to get self-esteme to be the most important standard in American schools. Teachers watered down the curriculum so that everyone could get a grade that would leave them with a positive self esteme. The curriculums were reduced to a level of the lowest achieving kids in the public school programs. So now the highest funded school system in the world has the lowest achieving math and science students in the developed world. Kerry is the most incompetent leader in our government. So if we make him president, our country will not achieve so much and the other countries will have a better self esteme. When we suck bad enough, maybe they will like us better. (2004-03-10) -- Senator John Forbes Kerry today defended his 1995 attempt to cut $1.5 billion from the U.S. intelligence budget, saying "the bill failed...no harm, no foul." The bill in question, S.1290 introduced September 29, 1995 by Mr. Kerry, included the following proposal in Sec. 3, paragraph (7): Reduce the Intelligence budget by $300 million in each of fiscal years 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, and 2000. However, Senator Kerry said he only introduced the bill because he "knew it would not garner a single co-sponsor and would never get out of committee." "It's not like I was some sort of super-effective legislator, building coalitions for my ideas and persuading my colleagues to make the tough, responsible decision to reduce our national intelligence capabilities," said Mr. Kerry.
