The "intelligence was terrible" excuse is but more deflection away from the true intent of invading Iraq. It is now clear (and it was clear to most honest people who looked at the situation) that the idea of Iraq as a threat to us was but a way to sell a war to a fearful public. The "real reason" for the invasion was that it fit with a corporate agenda, which is an explanation for every US invasion of the past 30 or 40 years. The rest is obsfucation and subterfuge.
