I recognize that the Philippines was especially exposed to the Muslim terror threat. With 2 million Filipinos working in the area one has to ask what will the terrorists want with the next hostage?

Evacuate Saudia Arabia to threaten oil production?

Better yet, they should be asking why 2 million Filipinos need to take jobs in hostile nations for survival wages. Why is a nation rich in resources, well located and full of diligent and competent workers incapable of providing decent work and wages for its citizens ~20 years after their dictator fell?
