Steve, I love how she speaks her mind. About time we see this. Regards, Amy J I think she showed her arrogance. One cannot imagine Laura Bush behaving in such a crass manner. The real problem is that the reporter had the quote precisely right. This was her response to being confronted with her own statements. These people are so phoney it is tough to imagine even liberals being sucked in by it. Ironic isn't it......Laura Bush is a liberal; Heinz Kerry was married to a conservative for most of her life.

David, RE: "crass manner" It's funny, but I don't recall you saying Bush was crass when he said "it is un-American" back in 2002. Double-standard here? cnn.com "she said the reporter was using the term "un-American activities, which has a very different connotation." It doesn't matter if she is Rep or Dem, the fact of the matter is people would like to see someone that speaks their mind, even if it occasionally is erroneously so and even if there is a difference in opinion, rather than politely demurring.
