I personally haven't gotten into Poker yet because frankly I'm kind of intimidated by the complexity of advanced competition and I don't have nerves of steel

Ten,

I strongly recommend you check out paradisepoker.com. I play there a couple hours almost daily. You can start off with free games, then deposit a small amount of money (use neteller.com, it is absolutely safe). The intimidation factor is zero. We play the Mini-tournaments almost exclusively -- you can play one for as little as $5 -- it is like just playing in the final table of a tournament.

Lots of fun. Typical night they have 8K players on at a time. There are other online poker places, but this is the one.

Ted, I can't get into poker.....in fact, I get bored.

If anything, Poker is a lot more interesting and complex than Blackjack. For one, you're not playing against the dealer, who must hit according to house rules, but against other players, who have their own play styles. Also in Blackjack, you can't bluff your way out of a hard 16 or other bad hand, but in Poker, you can win thousands of dollars just by pretending the two deuces you have is actually a full house.

See there it is.......poker requires deception. Its a GOP game......I can't play it. <g>

I personally haven't gotten into Poker yet because frankly I'm kind of intimidated by the complexity of advanced competition and I don't have nerves of steel (or at least I can't afford to have such nerves yet like Toby McGuire or Ben Affleck could).

Their "nerves of steel" are greatly assisted by the millions in their bank accounts.
