my understanding is that there would be limited environmental impact. Regardless, why shouldn't we develop our own resources before asking another country to develop theirs? Especially if we want to reduce our dependency on those other countries. Although, there is a common misconception that the U.S. get's most of its oil from the mideast..... I'd like to see Kerry's comprehensive energy plan for the U.S. as it ties into so many other issues (including foreign policy)
