Bush/Cheney can't run on the issues cause they can't tell the truth about their policy. They need to attack their opponent in a nasty fashion with vicious lies and hope that some of the tales stick. Kerry/Edwards were smart to shape the campaign with policy issues............Bush/Cheney will have to go negative fast cause they will avoid a policy fight. SOmeone in the Democratic party will have to get negative at some level...............unfortunately, it does work in some cases.
