Z, The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is one of the most generous philanthropies I've heard of.

Exactly, and it'll be a lot more effective than government welfare programs.


Why? Because its someone from the private side? Paul Allen is forever making questionable investments.

But I guess the average rich guy can't be trusted to donate on his own. After all, there really is no difference between someone making $200K a year and someone making $200K a minute, right? They're all just winner's of life's "lottery".

Average guy? How many wealthy people do you know that give away their money? What's the name of Cheney's foundation or that of Ken Lay?
