Thank you very much for the info and the link.

Of course, it is very obvious by now why Bush and Cheney had been quietly stone-walling the report. Perhaps they had hope it would never see the light of day. Or they had hoped it would be released only the elections when it probably would not have any negative impact on them.

President Bush and Vice President Cheney had wanted no investigation whatsoever of 9/11. As a result, they effectively "slow walked and stonewalled" - in Senator John McCain's words -- the joint Congressional inquiry and the early work of the 9/11 Commission

Or maybe they just saw that their own post 9-11 was working, after all, America has not been attacked since 9-11.
