I did not serve 11 years in Viet Nam, as you did. Nor was I a draft dodger. I have served, but not in the military. Nor am I running for elected office, much less President of the United States. That is the issue here -- fitness to be Commander in Chief. You would not find me fit for that role, and I am not seeking it. But when I hear people drone on about Kerry's behavior, conduct I find to be admirable and honest (including bravely speaking ouot against an unjust war), I find it sickening to hear those same people touting a President who ran away from his duty and hid behind his daddy's name -- what pet name do you have for people like that uncle? Or don't you and your friends talk about people like that? I was furious when Bush pulled his stunt on the carrier. To see Bush wrap himself in the flag and pull that carrier stunt after what he did to avoid being sent to Vietnam turns my stomach.
