Perhaps you think this strange or weird or just not a suitable subject for "science".

"Science" is stuff to which you can apply the scientific method. This involves testing hypotheses by collecting quantitative evidence in a series of replicable experiments.

Could you please explain to me how I set up a replicable experiment to test the Buddha's theory of Liberation from the Wheel of Rebirth, detailing how I measure the results, and with what tools? It should also include instructions for double-blind controls to screen out subject bias. TIA.

You do not seem to understand the difference between philosophy and science. The Buddha's subjective report would not cut it, nor would replicability defined as performing the same exercises with embedded expectations. After all, relaxation and controlled breathing are associated with higher states of suggestibility. Philosophy is what we do when dealing with issues not readily amenable to scientific treatment.
