I'm not sure. It's one thing to tax, that's certainly legal. It could be another thing if the government doesn't take possession of the money, yet dictates how people use their earnings.

So let the government take possession of the money. It just doesn't go in the general fund. They can "keep" it for me, and give me options to direct where it is ultimately invested. This benefits everyone, and solves the current SS problems.
