No one is disputing that it is wrong. It is half baked intelligence. AQ is not stupid enough to have just those few buildings in it's sights. Capture more AQ leaders and you will find that pretty much every major building (especially financial and government) is in their cross hairs. Throw Malls and soft targets also into the picture. It is how the intelligence is interpreted, analysed and presented is the problem. In this case, I think it was more out of political expediency that this thing was put out at this time. You just have to be ever prepared for attacks, especially in days leading upto election. If administration tries to make political capital out of these warnings - it will backfire ON THEM as well as ON US common folks.
