Vietnam record will indeed wear out its welcome. This guy is saying that a second looie has the credentials to be president--ridiculous in my view as well. But no republican should attack his war record or his anti-war record that followed. UW and his ilk (g) only hurt bush cause by challenging him on it. Kerry will do himself more harm if he continues to use vietnam service as his lifeboat. Before it is all over if he keeps it up, other folks will reach your conclusions if he continues and if he doesnt then bush attacks can work their magic that is if bush can deliver these personal attacks with some degree of dignity. On NPR/Fresh Air with Terri Gross this aft I heard some guy with a comedy show on HBO saying "when somebody serves his country in time of war, and he's running against someone who did not serve, you just have to vote for the guy who served his country. I mean, it's the least you can do when he sacrificed so much for you." I was thinking, "he must be talking about Bob Dole vs. Clinton," but apparently I missed the part where he said he voted for Dole.

Maybe it was a comedy routine. Made me laugh.
