The current price oil is not due to supply and demand issues, but rather to (potentially) exaggerated fears over terrorism pushing up commodities futures prices.

Ironically, the changes in the price payed at the pump have very little to do with current crude prices. The problem there is the LACK of refineries. Even more odd is the built in restriction on supply when refineries have to switch from winter to summer blends.
