tonto: there is SO much I dislike about today's Republican Party. I want the Republican Party from 1994, the party that gave us The Contract With America. I want the Dept Of Education eliminated. It has not educated one child in this country. I want the National Endowments for the Arts gone. I want farm subsidies gone. I know all the arguments for Libertarian, but I can't come to grips with legalizing drugs. I've heard all the arguments.........the amount we spend on the war on drugs would go into treatment and education, blah, blah. I was banned from Chinu's thread because I tore him a new one with his "cradle to grave" mentality. He thinks the govt. should provide everything. That was name calling to him. Bush is the right man at this right time.
