Vietnam veterans were divided by Kerry some 30 years ago. Why he wanted to bring it back up is the mystery. Blaming Bush for this is putting your head in the sand and ignoring reality.

This is why I maintain that Kerry made a huge mistake making his 4 months the centerpiece of his existence.

Hi Chinu,

I think you make a good point when you say that questioning (and making unsubstantiated innuendos about) Kerry's wartime service is wrong and divisive.

Like McCain, however, I also think it's wrong and divisive to call Bush a no-show for his "service" during the same war.

I think the ad is dishonest and dishonorable. As it is, none of these individuals served on the boat (Kerry) commanded. Many of his crew have testified to his courage under fire. I think John Kerry served honorably in Vietnam. I think George Bush served honorably in the Texas Air National Guard during the Vietnam War."

It's eminently clear that each man served in some way. Clear also, given a choice, that most of us would emulate Kerry's service rather than Bush's.

McCain, I believe, is also right to ask the country to move on from these kinds of attacks.
