If I was a Republican I would support Nader..

Are there some Republicans that DON'T support Nader?

But lest you forget....I was the one that brought that up...that dems don't want Nader on the ballot.

What the dems are doing is making sure that Nader crosses the t's and dots the i's in the application process. You have to admit that the Reform Party and Nader are strange bedfellows...especially since their last candidate was Pat Buchanan.

There's plenty of evidence that many conservative republicans are supporting the Nader candidacy for the purpose of diluting votes from the left. I never said that Bush and the RNC were doing it directly. Though Bush has mentioned that he welcomed Nader's candidacy. And surely the RNC recognizes the importance of a Nader Candidacy to ensure a Bush victory. And certainly when folks that are donating to both the Republican and the Nader campaigns that's a strange combination. And when grass roots organizations in battle ground states are spending their own resources and time getting Nader on the ballot...well then something is a bit fishy. Who do they get their marching orders from if not from the RNC? And even if it's not directly done...it's done through back channel dealings.

But you see there is a difference. The dems are making sure that Nader follows the rules, and the republicans are ready to look the other way and even to assist him on to the ballot.
