Thanks. I'll check them out. I'm pretty sure market manipulation happens on a regular basis - as a trader I see a lot that can only be explained that way. But I doubt the markets can be manipulated to the extent you imply. If it were possible, the Bush crowd would be doing it as well.

Also, some "manipulation" is helpful, such as when trading halts kick in if the market falls too far too fast, or when the Fed intervenes as it did after 9/11 or LTCM collapse.

I agree with your comments re: CNBC. I have the TV off and Norah Jones et al on the CD when trading...
