I don't think Bush lied or trumped up a crisis in Iraq. Either they had WOMD, were trying to get them or Bush received bad intelligence reports and bad information from the likes of Egypt, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Jordan. Who ultimately had something to gain by ridding the area of Saddam. If the Dems think these terrorist alerts are fake and timed they are setting themselves up for a big fall. Also, as far as alerts, it's damned if you do and damned if you don't. You never really know if you stopped a terrorist attack...unless you catch it red handed. If you don't alert and something happens...you get blamed. If nothing happens and you did alert the you were just faking.
