My 18 month old daughter has had immense benefits from the kids music program Kindermusik. I'm sure they have it in HK. Sometimes she dances in front of the stereo speakers to classical or hip hop or whatever is on.

Alas, she is usually playing with the car keys, my wifes checkbook or removing the contents of my wallet (credit cards first) and putting them in her doll house.

These days they grow up so fast.

<<enormous garden that is a rarity in HK, full of plants (papaya, lemon, herbs, banana plants).>>

WHAT??? No coconut tree? They need dry sandy soil, I think you can manage that and HK is in the right latitude.

Erita will learn swimming at 18 months.

if you want to do something really nutty, check out your timing on this. 18 days or 18 minutes might be more like it or something like that. babies take to water like a duck. wonder why. thank you and take care all.

Floatation wetsuit is ready in her closet.

flotation wetsuit is already built in, just needs to be taken out of the cupboard.

this is not medical advice, just a thought for the thinker.

<<send the baby to relatives all around the world for summer seasons starting at age 7, and her education promises to be rigorous, complete with personal combat skills.>>

Any relatives in Brazil? It would come in very handy for combat skills:

Jay, that's excellent planning for Erita's life, but I wonder if she will have a say in any of it. When she turns 2 she will say "NO!" to you. Then the true battle lines will be drawn and once again, as always and forever, the young teach the elderly that they are going to take over and do things their way. Time is on their side. <daddy will be max fun, with Lego sets to play with and Unreal Tournament Death Match to exercise survival skills, > She might prefer a Barbie Doll instead of Lego and she might have different survival tactics.

From then on, she will tell you what she is going to do and if you are cunning and devious and use bribery and corruption, you may be able to occasionally deflect her to an idea which you are keen on.

I have located some bribery you could use. Look at the prices! Wow! Combine Aztec technology with that turbo-charged super-duper phragmented photon cyberspace stuff and you could lead her to water and make her drink: Message 20391688

I suggest you start bidding now. Even if you don't use them in roaming mode, they will make excellent investments. See the prices for Samsung's previous collector cyberphones. Wow!

Mqurice

PS: I have three adult daughters and none of them fully obey me, though sometimes they are polite to me. It has been some years since my word was akin to a supernatural being's. I have to say, rather proudly, that they are much nicer than Yiwu [which I suppose is no great boast].
