Satellite dishes are absolutely legal in Canada. As a matter the stores in my hometown carry StarChoice and ExpressVu brands.

What is not legal is the theft of satellite signals. That is using dishes to receive signals without paying the usual fees and subscriptions.

Frankly I am very surprised that you somehow got the idea that satellite dishes are illegal in Canada. Could this have been be due to some anti-Canada propaganda?
