Totally agree that Kerry should have publicly denounced Dean for his comments last week...but he's afraid to.. might upset the far left wing wing of his party.

He should have gone after deans stupid comments last week and didnt and instead ridiculed bush for those 7 moore minutes

Yup. If Lieberman or someone with his positions were the candidate, I would be facing a tough choice. With Kerry I'm not, esp. as I expect he would prove another Jimmy Carter wrt foreign policy if he were elected.

About the 'lack of accountability' for the iraq war, accountability is a tricky issue in war. War is not an engineering contract and sh-t will happen even to decent planners. Do you fire them for not being Napoleans who could anticipate everything? More importantly, do you have anybody better to replace them with? If not, you're pretty well stuck with hoping your guys at least learn from their mistakes.
