Like LB said, a lot of the media guys don't want to go there, but they'll have to.

At some point, they'll be compelled to go there. The instinct for self-preservation will take over. Big media is already fighting allegations that they have a liberal bias. If they believe that the lid is coming off of this, and they'll be caught with their pants down, they'll start reporting on it.

There needs to be a critical mass built up for this to happen, and I believe we are getting there.

What I don't understand is people like O'Reilly, who is discounting this. What's his agenda?

The christmas in cambodia story is an obvious fabrication along with most of his testimony before the senate. Knowing how the extreme part of the anti-war ran back then, kerry was probably cajoled into fabricating his story. Or more cynically, he thought his stand against the US over vietnam would be a winning issue going forward in american life. Either way he made a huge mistake back then. Many other americans both those who fought in vietnam and those who resisted made mistakes as well. Should it disqualify him from the presidency? Thats ever voters personal choice. From the beginning i have said that this issue will work against bush. So far it has worked for him in the polls. Vets should concentrate on post war stuff and lay off the medal thing which is more a matter of how medals are award and what degree of heroism is shown. My only point is that kerry can be a post war scumbag but still have performed admirably while in combat. Hell he had an interest in performing well because his life was at stake as well as those of his men. Do you follow the distinction i make between what he actually did and how he lied, exaggerated after. Let him have his medals--nail him on the untruths post war. Show the videos to the american people and have faith that at least the independents will consider this. No need for an assault on what he actually did when in service to win medals. Counter productive even if there is some truth to those charges too. mike
