Hi Greg....I was told that on the cc Cisco's management was just a bit guarded about the next quarter, and that inventories were up quite a bit. If so, one wonders how the smaller companies in the same space will be effected by this small bit of doubt.

well, I regarded this portion as a reflection on education policy ("No Child Left Behind" is seriously underfunded by the folks who proposed it), which makes it political:

"the tremendous emphasis on education outside of the US leads to the draining of our technical jobs at an ever increasing pace while our educational system "dumbs down" to the lowest common denominator is an emerging explanation..."

I'm not at all sure the "dumbs down" scenario is entirely correct but if it is intentional then we'll be able to relax our border controls vis-a-vis illegals who are coming here for low paying jobs since we'll be able to fill them with our own children and grandchildren.

But no names are mentioned in keeping with the Waters Doctrine. <vbg>
