there is a lot of bitterness among some of the muslim people in America, and there are a lot of muslims, that are good citizens, and deplore what was done on 9/11.

I think you are right. But if they want other Americans to respect them, they have to get off their duff and do something about the militant muslims in their midst.

I assume many of them are like my ancestors. They came over here to get away from a society run the the religious, where they can think as they please. They don't want the Mullahs to run their life for them.

That means they need to speak out and tell other muslims they are against the radicals. They must go down to the Mosques and help kick the wahhabi extremists out of power there. They need to tell the Saudis they aren't going to control the Mosques just because they hold the mortgages. They need to join or form organizations that condemn terrorism. They need to call the FBI and inform them of any suspicious muslim radicals they know. They need to expect to be searched when they travel, and tell the DOD that it is right to profile muslims.

When they do all of this, then they will be respected by other Americans.

Well in that case...never mind. ;-)

Actually, I felt compelled to drive to my daughters school on 9/11 and make sure everything was o.k.

I don't know why...I just had to do it. Life in America felt a little spooky on that day.

By the way...I'm pretty sure they moved Central Command after 9/11...but I understand your point.

I was just messing with J.F.
