Not positive. I think he means it, as if it were "politics," he'd look at the polls and see that most of the country no longer favors the war.

I contributed $275 to Kerry because under a Kerry presidency, we'd be much more likely than under the Bush administration to not roll back environmental laws, to protect abortion rights, to keep a strong barrier between church and state, and to reduce the deficits, among other things.

I do like Kerry -- he's a good speaker and he certainly reflects me more than Bush does, so I'm comfortable voting for him and was happy to donate to his cause.

Even if I don't like the process, I can see the benefit in working with it. On the other hand, one of my friends was practically begging me today to get into politics, and I have a hard time thinking about it because it would require me to try to be something other than myself much more often than I'm comfortable with.
