Ted, as usual, you are putting the blame solely on the "other side" for the polarization within our population, not realizing that by even doing that, you are contributing to the polarization.

You believe in what you believe in, Bush believes in what he believes in, and Kerry believes in whatever the hell he feels like believing in at the moment. I'll respect people like you or Bush or even Hillary Clinton over someone without a spine to have a strong belief in anything. I learned back in elementary school (yes, that far back) that you can't please everyone all of the time, that you have to follow a core set of beliefs or else you'll be just plain ineffective as a leader.

As for the polarization of this country, that's because everyone is so damn sure that what they believe in is right and true that no one else could possibly be right. That includes the so-called avatars of tolerance and acceptance, because these are the biggest hypocrites of our post-modern society.
