Well, if the point was to show that we could go it alone, it is a point we lost. We've repeatedly gone back on that point (dare I say 'flip flopped'?), asking for the coalition we failed to wait for from the start. If anything, Iraq has showed that international support, even token international support, it important. Bush 41 understood that, and it must boil his blood to see his son be hoodwinked by the (excuse the label here) neocons. Like LBJ, Bush will realize that no one will remember those who talked him into it...
