USA Today had hired Ann Coulter to cover the Democratic National Convention, to rebuttal the Dem's point I think. When USA Today saw what she wrote about the Convention, they wouldn't print it.

Michael Moore is supposed to cover the Republican National Convention for USA Today. Let's see if his piece is printed.

I wonder if Vegas has put out odds on it.

..winning jury verdicts in personal injury cases has nothing to do with legal talent and everything to do with getting the right cases

Ann Coulter seems to have really done her "homework" for this article.

the "little guys" Edwards claims to represent are having a lot more trouble finding doctors to deliver their babies these days as obstetricians leave the practice rather than pay malpractice insurance in excess of $100,000 a year.

IMO most obstetricians won't be voting for Kerry.

What is interesting is that if Kerry were to take the same case to trial today, he would have a much more difficult time gaining a winning verdict. Science has proven that babies born with cerebral palsy are rarely a result of labor and delivery. Advancements in fetal monitoring and testing during labor makes it easier to see a baby in distress before birth, and a C-Section can be performed.

(Even though C-Sections are considered a "high risk" delivery that can present more complications for the mother and the baby.)

I am reading Ann Coulters book "Treason". Ann describes the time period in the 1940's and 1950's when the US Government was riddled with Soviet spies, and the Democratic Party seemed overtly partisan to the Soviet Union. The "mainstream" elite media back then was equally as supportive.

Conservatives have talk radio now to spread their doctrine. Back then they had nothing save a few columnists.

But back then 90% of Americans could easily be described as "Pro-American", despite the fact that many voted Democrat. Now, it appears that the public school system is producing Democrat clones through their relentless brainwashing.

Conservatives are much better informed than in past decades. Will they be able to stem the full-court press that is applied by the newspapers, television and the schools.

Ed the Canyon Dweller is a liberal democrat who can espouse his views very cogently. I worked in an office in San Francisco for 8 years with about 25 other people. Myself and a Philipino lady were the only Republicans. All the rest were Democrats. But only one of those 23 could stand toe-to-toe in a political arguement. The rest would easily be made mincemeat of and would completely steer clear of us Republicans and not even mention anything political.
I admire liberals who can define their views, and moreso if they live their views (bike to work, solar power, etc.). But I would have to estimate that 80-90% of Democrats are politically clueless. Give them a roster of 10 issues and ask where they stand. You will find they are largely conservative with one key issue (abortion, environment) that will swing them to the Democrat side.
