Thanks for that input, certainly not off topic. In fact, more of that type of perspective is welcome. When I owned Gabriel it always seemed to me that the international environmentalists were so worried about 'protecting' the people/history that they were killing the future. I have paid little attention to the story of late and I see that the stock has taken a beating. Damn fine looking project, throw that same one in Mexico and the stock would be at mucho more dollars.

Hi, and thanks for the informative post. I was a GBU shareholder for some time, but sold last fall.

I am confident, as you seem to be, that this project will eventually be developed. But what I am far less confident about is what proportion of the profits will accrue to GBU shareholders (whether through development/production or takeover), and how long they will have to wait for it. Unless things have progressed very rapidly since last fall, when I stopped poring over the press releases, there are just too many opportunities remaining for value to be extracted from GBU holders (eg. ongoing village relocation, various required permits, environmental objections etc). And I don't see majors being particularly impatient because they can afford to wait for GBU to push the process a bit further (or perish trying).

Obviously at today's prices the risk reward is much more attractive than it was when I sold. Once I get over a lingering case of GBU fatigue I will have to look at it again. Good luck with your investment, and thanks again for the detailed post.

Dear Seventh Son and his fools,

This is a message from Rosia Montana, arise and wake, because you are making no sense. Have a read at "Anticipating Surprise - Assessing Risk" (on www.rosiamontana.org)and get your facts straight; because if you don't, it ain't Gabriel or Romania who will loose, but you and you only.

For those of you who regard GBU as "developing Europe's largest gold deposit" and see problems limited to "moving stroppy and stubborn locals to new accommodations", you are blinding yourselves from addressing what really is at issue.

ROSIA MONTANA AND ROMANIA DO NOT NEED AND DO NOT WANT GABRIEL RESOURCES' ROSIA MONTANA PROJECT.

Why not? Amongst others, the EU is providing generous pre-accession funds, ensuring the sustainable development of this region that includes road construction and the closure of polluting mines whilst at the same time encouraging small and medium sized enterprises that come with innovative and dynamic proposals (definately not of the type of Gabriel; its clearly out of fashion).

Because we are aware of the value of our cultural, social, economic patrimony here in Rosia Montana and because we are not stroppy and stubborn farmers, but know what we have and what we want, you sould understand that we have other ideas of how we want to shape our future and that properties such as mine and those of 350 further local property owners of Rosia Montana are not for sale. If you were to care enough and try to understand what this means, this only in financial terms and in risks, you would understand (this because you would have actually read Gabriel's risk assessement on www.sedar.com)that a strict condition from the Ro government for the project to go ahead is for Gabriel Resources to have to purchase ALL the properties within the concession.

Once again WE are NOt for sale.

Last but not least here is a message for you, Seventh Son, aka RMGC environmental department: please don't talk about issues that you have no clue about and especially not on behalf of Romanians. People like you make me sick.

Wow stroppy, stubborn farmers from Rosia Montana have access to internet and even speak English? How developed.
Have some cake, honey and wake up to reality - i.e. GBU's current share price.

Eugen David

A proud farmer from Rosia Montana
