Kevin - how do you think F911 was timed? How about to generate a boost for the dem convention.

Kerry has zoomed ahead in Ohio since the SmearVets came out. Ohio is one of their main targets. It didn't work. Only preaches to a few in the choir.

Ruthless politicians would have timed the publication of "Unfit for Command" for about Oct 15. Just long enough for voters to hear about it but not long enough to give your opponent time to refute it. The over 250 SwiftVets for the Truth members gave Kerry more spinning time than he would have given them in the same situation.

Kevin,

The book was originally scheduled to come out during the second half of September. Because of the advance buzz, primarily from Drudge, the publisher decided to advance the publication date. Too bad. The book probably would have had more of an impact if it had come out then.

Richard Clarke did a nice job of coordinating the publication of his book with his public 9/11 testimony.

Someone did a nice job of releasing information on Bush's DUI conviction a few days before the 2000 election. Without that dirty trick, Bush probably would have won by one or two points.

Timing is everything.
