This sounds like part of the effort going on now (by both Dems and Repubs) to get McGreevey to resign before Sept. 3rd, so there can be a special election Nov. 3rd. No shortage of dirt on the guy, there's just been a blackout on it in the NJ media. On the front page of the Asbury Park Press this am is a story about the rumor that when McGreevey broke his leg on the beach in Feb. 2002, he wasn't with his wife as was reported, but with his gay lover Golan Cipel. But not to worry, an employee of the B&B McGreevey was staying at says yes, indeed, he was with the missus. Such is the level of political discourse here in NJ. Rotten to the core.
